Mr. Ashish Singhal is a senior industry leader with over 23 years of experience in the electrical engineering and power distribution sector. As the Executive Director of Allied Engineering Works Limited (AEW), he has played a transformative role in shaping the company’s strategy around smart metering, grid digitization, and utility modernization—both in India and international markets.

With deep technical expertise and strong business acumen, Mr. Singhal has successfully led the end-to-end implementation of large-scale AMISP projects under India’s national smart metering program (RDSS). He has also been instrumental in establishing greenfield manufacturing operations in Gabon (Africa) and Thailand, demonstrating his ability to navigate diverse regulatory, cultural, and market environments to deliver high-impact engineering solutions.

In addition to smart metering and utility technology initiatives, Mr. Singhal is actively leading AEW’s expansion into the renewable energy sector. Under his guidance, the company has been awarded and is currently executing two 50 MW utility-scale solar power projects, further strengthening AEW’s presence in India’s growing clean energy ecosystem.
