Andrea Heins is a Chemical Engineer (University of Buenos Aires) with a specialization in petroleum and over 25 years of experience in the energy sector.

She served as Undersecretary for Energy Efficiency in Argentina (2015–2018) and as President of the Argentine Committee of the World Energy Council (2019–2024).

She is currently an international consultant on energy and climate policy and a Senior Advisor at the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre.

She also lectures in graduate programs on energy and climate policy at FLACSO and ITBA universities.

Her work focuses on advancing sustainable energy strategies that strengthen climate resilience and support economic development in emerging and developing economies.
